About Storm Panels
Storm window panels extend the usable season of screened porches by adding a protective glass or acrylic layer that blocks wind and retains heat. Dream Decks designs and installs custom storm panel systems that transform screened porches into three-season spaces without permanent enclosure modification.
Our storm panel systems feature lightweight aluminum frames with tempered glass or impact-resistant acrylic panels. Panels attach to existing porch framing with turn buttons, clips, or track systems for easy seasonal installation and removal. When installed in fall, panels extend comfortable porch use through November and make the space usable again in early March. Summer storage in garage or basement keeps panels protected when not in use.
Panel design considers both protection and ventilation. Most systems include operable sections—sliding panels, awning-style openings, or removable sections—that allow airflow on warmer days. This flexibility prevents the enclosed space from overheating on sunny fall and spring days while providing protection during cold snaps and rainy weather.
